About the job

 

You’re looking to apply your business skills in a fast-growing tech startup!

 

In this role, you'll work closely with Urbio's founders on a range of tasks related to business operations and team building. Your work will be highly data-driven and communication-oriented, and help steer the company in a phase of growth and international expansion.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

Your main activities are to...

  • Report on and analyze company KPIs to steer the business with data-driven insights alongside the founding team

  • Track and manage company budgets, payments, invoices, insurances, financial forecasting, audits, loans and grant applications

  • Act as a sparring partner for the founders by providing feedback, ideas, and suggestions to help drive the business forward

  • Conduct market research and summarize actionable insights

  • Contribute to team building (team events, company culture...) and recruiting processes

  • Manage and improve internal processes and IT tools (productivity software, knowledge base, communication tools…)

  • Assist with legal and compliance questions, including coordinating with external advisors

 

 

Qualifications

 

For this position you need to...

  • be recently graduated with a Bachelor or Master in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or a related field, with at least 2 years of relevant work experience

  • have excellent written and oral communication skills in English, as well as professional fluency in German or French

  • work independently with limited guidance and proactively collaborate with multiple stakeholders across and outside the company

  • have great analytical skills and the ability to think at "company-level", assessing what would be best for the business (commercially, in terms of image, etc.)

  • be comfortable making decisions even in the presence of ambiguity, with the ability to self-critic and self-improve

 

You’re a great fit if you...

  • speak English, German and French

  • are great with number-crunching in spreadsheets, accounting and financial planning

  • love to craft meaningful charts/slides to explain complex ideas

  • have experience with SaaS metrics

  • already worked for a tech startup

  • have experience or interest in the field of energy

You are passionate about understanding what makes startups thrive and scale. Doing so, you are not afraid to step out of your comfort zone and work on fast-paced, diverse and complex tasks both independently and in a team. For this position, the ability to multi-task is crucial to deliver fast responses while adequately balancing time-investment with quality of outcomes.

Location & time

 

  • We meet 2+ days per week in our office in Sion and/or co-working spaces in Zurich/Lausanne.
